Nitrotherm Spray® is a patented gel coat spray technology system by Eurosider and integrated by DeGeest that works with your existing manual or robotic equipment with any kind of paint.
Nitrotherm Spray converts conventional compressed air to ionized temperature controlled Nitrogen as the spray carrier. Nitrogen is cleaner, dryer, and atomizes more effectively. Ionization is added to overcome static charge on molds and improve transfer efficiency.
By continuously controlling the temperature of the nitrogen, your gel coat becomes more fluid which reduces orange peel. You’ll also see unprecedented control over the coating process for a better quality finish with significant savings.

Why You Need It For Fine Details
With Nitrotherm adding detailed crisp lines with gel coat is possible. Tape pulls are cleaner and defined.
How It Works
Nitrotherm works for gel coat by replacing traditional compressed air with ionized temperature controlled nitrogen as the spray carrier, which improves transfer efficiency, reduces overspray, and provides better atomization and flow of the gel coat. This results in significant savings in material, a cleaner working environment, reduced flash times between coats, and a higher quality, smoother, and more consistent finish with fewer defects like runs, sags, and orange peel.

In this Manufacturing a Stronger Standard podcast, Derek DeGeest, President of DeGeest Corporation & Lesta USA, and Drew Simmons, President of MVP discuss Nitrotherm®️ a patented technology by Eurosider and Lesta self-learning robotic technology by Lesta SRL. Spraying gel coat with Nitrotherm technology can eliminate 90% of overspray leading to improved transfer efficiency and reduces VOC emissions, styrene, and filter changes. This, along with less rework, brings a typcial ROI in 6 to 12 months.
LestaUSA and MVP (Magnum Venus Products) have partnered to bring self-learning robotic finishing + Nitrotherm technology to manufacturers. The result? Smarter automation, higher quality coatings, less waste, and faster integration.
We’re proud to shape the future of composites finishing together!
There are two ways Lesta robots automate the finishing process so you can increase capacity without hiring. In a weightless self-learning mode, the robot duplicates the precise movements of your best painter and repeats them on future parts. Or, it can be programmed using scanning to paint panels, drawers, boxes and doors.
See this game-changing technology in the LestaUSA showroom inside DeGeest Corporation near Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
